Acne Treatment Reviews
Zenmed Reviewed – Is it really the Ultimate Acne Treatment?
Acne sucks, no two ways about it. Thus, it comes as no surprise that many people with acne have turned to Zenmed for help. It is after all a “total acne treatment” that comprises herbal capsules, cleansing gels and maintenance gels plus, it is said to work fast. You cannot deny that the idea of treating acne both topically and internally is a pretty good and enticing one. Moreover, there is no lack of positive reviews of Zenmed on the web. Thus, Zenmed seems like the obvious choice, but is it?
What is Zenmed?
The Zenmed Derma Cleanse System is a three-step system used to prevent and treat acne. Created for all skin types, it includes an herbal detoxifier supplement, a cleanser and a medicated acne treatment. According to Zenmed’s website, you can expect to see results after about 10 days of consistent use with best results occurring after four to six weeks.
Should You Use Antibiotics to Treat Acne?
Antibiotics are very commonly prescribed to acne sufferers. The basis for this is that infections are a key step in the development of acne. Antibiotics fight infections and are therefore believed to hinder the development of acne.
Now while this can be effective for some consumers, in most cases it is not enough. You may reduce the number and severity of infected pimples but blemishes can still develop, even if they do not get infected. Aside from that, over-usage of any antibiotics weakens the immune system. A healthy body is already naturally resistant to infections, as it produces its own antibiotics.

Benzoyl Peroxide as an Acne Treatment?
Start searching on the web for information on treating acne, and you’ll find benzoyl peroxide cropping up again and again. It is certainly one of the most popular active ingredients among over-the-counter acne treatment products. One of the positives about this ingredient is that it isn’t affiliated with just one specific brand of acne treatment. However, the results that it gives people are certainly mixed. Some say that it clears up their skin entirely while others find that it dries the skin excessively. Some even find that stopping use of the product causes an influx of blemishes and that it can increase cystic acne by blocking the pores in the top layer of skin. While benzoyl peroxide has many uses, today we look at it’s uses in the treatment of acne – it’s benefits and drawbacks, and when it is worth trying.

Microdermabrasion Review
Let’s start with the basics. Microdermabrasion is a medical process by which the outer layer of dead skin cells (stratum corneum) is removed using light abrasion. The procedure is painless, requires no anaesthetic and is like a strong version of exfoliating, as opposed to dermabrasion which more like using sandpaper and is generally far more painful.
Microdermabrasion is designed to trigger the regrowth of damaged or scarred skin. Think of it like pruning a tree – if the tree has damaged or unhealthy extremities (leaves, branches, etc) gardeners will trim off these areas so that the tree will grow back healthy replacements. Imagine that you are scraping off the layer of your skin that has acne scars to induce your body’s natural healing ability to grow new skin cells in the affected area.

Acnexus Reviewed, Honestly!
After my August voting poll Acnexus was the most popular choice for review so I did some research and testing. Other than finding a number of false reviews and fake rankings sites (I think I will have to write an article on this epidemic), the results themselves were interesting.
Product: Acnexus

Firstly, it is a cream treatment that you apply to your skin twice daily the same way you would use a scrub – apply to clean skin, rub for 30 seconds, rinse off, and pat dry. Now in terms of effectiveness, I have to say I was impressed with the feeling it gives the skin after use. Your skin feels fresher and smoother, but not dry at all. Plus the feeling does last longer than other scrubs I have used, and it reduces oiliness for a period of time. It will open your pores like a scrub, and it will moisturize and heal your skin like a natural healing cream, but this will do both simultaneously. So, if you can afford the price of around $20-30 per month, I would recommend this product as a scrub/cream. Personally, though, I will stick to using an over-the-counter scrub and follow it with a natural moisturizer simply because it is 1/3 the price and I like having them separate, but if you like the idea of getting both actions in the same product then Acnexus is a very good option. It will definitely help treat acne, but let me be perfectly clear: it is not a cure! It will simply help, like any other scrub and healing cream would.
