Kim,

No, you shouldn't wash your face with Acnexus if you are pregnant. White Willow bark is similar to aspirin, and shows signs of birth defects in children. Anything applied to the skin absorbs, and flows throgh the blood stream and to the fetus while pregnant. With that being said you should also stay away from any antibiotics for acne while pregnant. So if you plan or are pregnant I suggest you should use acne treatment from over the counter. I personaly like St.Ives and Noxzema. My mother used Noxzema since I was a little girl, and it works, and not bad in price. Hope this helps! But, it is always good to talk to your docor about medicines, and products you are using if and when you are pregnant.

So if white willow bark is similar to aspirin, is it safe to use while pregnant?

I have been using Acnexus for about a month now. When I first starting using it I noticed it is very gritty, and has a different smell to it, I guess because it is natural. I have to say I love the way it makes my skin feel. It feels so soft, and smooth, and my blackheads are not as noticeable; however, it isn't really clearing up my pimples. I guess it just makes your face feel clean and soft, but doesn't really solve the whole problem with acne. I guess I just feel a lil frustrated, because I have sensitive skin, and I can't use Proactive, and SkinId from Neutrogena, due to them containing benzoyl peroxide. Can someone please tell me what is a good acne product for acne, and blackheads on the nose?

Has anyone heard of a new acne treatment called CTRL??

I heard about this one from one of my friends. So, I looked it up and on their website, they say that it's gender specific. There's actually one treatment for guys and another one for girls.

There are some other promising things...paraben free, fragrance free, it uses salicylic acid (not benzoyl) etc.

Wondering if anyone's tried it.

Rice moisturizer is one natural moisturizers it helps protect the skin from being damaged by UVA and UVB which are the cause of melasma, freckle, and skin cancer. Because it has plentiful minerals, unsaturated fatty acid and vitamins especially the natural vitamin E which is in high quantity as Tocols (Tocopherol & Tocotrienol), Gamma-Qryzanol and Ceramide.

Hmm I've tried this product before about 1-2 years ago, for about 2 months and quite frankly it didn't do squat for me. It made my skin feel oily, event after i just washed my face with it. So it basically made my skin even oiler than it was before. If you have occasional break outs to mild acne, then this probably might work for you. However, if you have very oily skin, large pores, and daily break outs, then I suggest you try something else.

From what I understand, this treatment doesn't take into account the gender difference. I've been digging up a lot of information about the differences in gender related to acne.

Many differences in the skins of males and females have cause adverse effects when taking treatment because the major treatments don't account for them.

This site that I found outlines some of the major differences in the skins of males and females.
