proactive did not work for me at all. i have minor acne and it didnt make a difference. my husband used it too, and his acne is baaaad and it also didnt work. ive tried alot of things but gettin facials has improved my skin a lil..not touchin my face or popping also helped.but its so hard when u get da 1s dat are irresisteble to pop…im still looking around for tratments that may help more…..bad genes maybe :(

I usually use ProActiv, but I wanted to try something new which was healthier with less chemicals. I read bad reviews of all the harmful chemicals in proactive. My mother who is in her 60′s and looks like she is in her 30′s, recommended Made from Earth.

I have a bit of adult acne and she recommended the Made from Earth Grapefruit Glycolic Scrub, and it works just as well as ProActiv. I used it for a couple of days, and saw results right away. Overall, my skin looks much better than before I used it. I didnt use any of their moisturizers but I would recommend the Grapefruit Glycolic Scrub.

Proactiv did not work for me. Do not waste your money. However, I have not found any product that works for me. I am starting to debate whether I am human or not.

I have used Pro-active on and off for 7 years when I started in 2000-2002 it was fantastic it cleared up all my skin problems (balckheads/whiteheads/cystic acne) and kept it away without drying out my skin. I had a baby and as soon as I had had him I restarted it 20003- to now. Since then it has been a nightmare. I am wondering at this point over that grace of time did they change the formula that they were using. I am glad that I am not the only one that it stopped working for.

I am thinking about buying some zyporex does any one have any personal experience with that?

Hi there Natty,

I just wanted to check in with you and see how the products are working for you?

I have also been on Proactiv for a few months now but my skin is drying out like crazy. I found it worked at the beginning but not so much anymore.

I do not suffer from severe acne but I do have mild acne.

Hey guys its me again,
I returned proactiv and found some stuff that really works for me, and i noticed the results a day after. for all you people who found proactiv didnt work, i suggest nutragena extra light moisturizer (shopper’s drug mart, about $20), vichy acne spot treatment (4% salycylic acid) and nutragena oil-free acne scrub. IT’S GREAT. any pharmacy has it.
Maybe since proactiv didnt work for me, and didn’t work for some of you guys, this could work for you since it worked for me.

Hey guys
I’m a proactiv user and it worked pretty good for about a month except my skin is just sooo tight and EXCEPTIONALLY dry. Like, EXTREME, guys. Then I ended up breaking out in places like my cheeks, which I’ve never gotten before… I dont know what to do…

I was surprised to see all of the negative comments about Proactiv. I started using it when I was in my early 40′s and I am now 52. It is the only thing that has ever worked for me! I tried all types of other topical creams, including prescriptions, and all they did was burn my face off and then the acne would return. I used 10% benzyol peroxide which never worked and so was amazed that the 2.5% solution in the Proactiv formula worked. The products were much gentler to my skin and I did not experience redness, irritation or over-drying. The toner always gives my skin a nice glow and has never caused me irritation like other oily skin toners have. I do not have to use it twice a day anymore, but on occasion I do still get a few outbreaks. Everyone’s skin is different I guess! What works for one may not work for another.
